LG has officially started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the LG V30 and the V30+. Users in Korea are starting the see the update notification on their devices.

The Korean company even made an announcement talking about the update, stating that they’re the first manufacturer in Korea to deliver the Oreo update to its devices. LG had started an OS Preview program last month and successfully tested the new Oreo software on over 500 devices.

The new software update is available both as an OTA and a download. If you prefer installing it manually, you will need to use the LG Bridge software on your PC. As usual, the Oreo update will bring several new features and improvements to both the LG V30 and the V30+.

New features such as Picture-in-Picture, Notification dots, smart text selection, and more, are included in the update. You will also see an improvement in battery life and overall system performance. The update also includes an improved sound source LDAC that will minimize sound loss.

The update is currently rolling out for users in Korea, but it should be available in Europe and other regions in the next few days.
