LG Nexus 4 eligible for 50GB storage from Box in Australia

One thing that sticks out like a sore thumb in the high and might specs sheet of the LG Nexus 4 is no doubt the low amount of inbuilt storage the device comes with, at least when you look at the 8GB variant, and we earlier reported on some ways you could extend that non-expandable storage on the latest Nexus smartphone.

Turns out that cloud storage provider Box is also providing 50 GB of free cloud storage space for the Nexus 4 in Australia. This seems to be because of Box’s promotion to provide 50 GB of free storage to any LG Android device till December 31st, and though the offer says “LG phones and tablets in the U.S.”, it is apparently working in Australia as well. Also, after you register for the offer, you will get another promotion emailed to you that allows to gift the same amount of free storage to your coworkers.

Granted, cloud storage isn’t a viable alternative for many due to costly and limited data plans, but for those that are using the cloud for saving their files or are intending on doing so, this is a good offer by Box that should do the trick for most, as 50 GB for free is quite a lot.

Of course, with the high demand that the Nexus 4 has seen, you should pray you get that Nexus 4 of yours before the end of this year and before the offer expires.
