LG G6 Black Edition launched in South Korea

Hopping on to another marketing gimmick, clearly to boost the sales of its flagship smartphone LG G6 ahead of the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8, LG Electronics has introduced a brand new ‘Black Edition’ of G6 in South Korea today.

This Black Edition LG G6 will have a dual color scheme paired with either platinum or white colors on the rear. Sounds fascinating, though, it will be interesting to see how users react to a dual colored flagship smartphone. This LG G6 in the Black Edition will be sold by South Korea’s known mobile carrier KT Corp.

Another announcement made by LG Electronics was that the company will give away Android Wear 2.0 LG Watch Sports absolutely free to LG G6 buyers in Korea next month. However, not all will be able to avail the offer as LG has planned to select around 1,000 local buyers for this.

A similar marketing campaign has been resorted to by LG in Russia where those placing pre-orders for LG G6 will not only be receiving the flagship phone but LG Watch Style as well, another Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch from LG.
