LG will be announcing its upcoming flagship smartphone LG G4 at an event on April 28. The vendor is sending out media invites for the event with the tagline “See the Date. Feel the Great”.
The event will happen in six cities such as London, New York, Paris, Istanbul, Singapore and Seoul. Though the event date is mentioned as April 28, it will happen on April 29 in the three Asian countries due to the time difference.
The invite suggests that the upcoming smartphone will feature a stitched leather back panel. This appears to be interesting as LG usually launches devices with plastic back panels.
Going by the previous rumors, the LG G4 will be arriving with a G Pen stylus as the S Pen in the Samsung Galaxy Note lineup. The device is likely to boast of a 5.5 inch Quad HD 1440p display and stuff in a 1.8 GHz hexa core Snapdragon 808 processor with 64 bit support. The device is said to pack in 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt memory space.
For imaging, the LG G4 is claimed to boast of a 16 MP main camera at its rear and an 8 MP front facing selfie snapper onboard. Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, the smartphone is said to come with NFC and other standard aspects of connectivity.
It is clear that LG has replaced the octa core Snapdragon 810 processor with a hexa core Snapdragon 808 chipset as there were overheating concerns with the former that was used in the LG G Flex 2.
