Despite the spectacular success of LG G3, it seems LG knows for sure that it has to keep on improving in order to compete with the best. It’s safe to assume that LG G4 specs will be something to beat for other OEMs, but LG wants the same outlook on its G4’s design too. Reportedly, LG has gone back to drawing board to come up new and exciting build for highly anticipated flagship, G4, a successor to company’s most popular smartphone, the G3.
That’s very positive thinking on LG’s part, and it seems it has learned a lesson from Samsung’s decline, even though Samsung is yet to prove what it has learned.
2015 will be the year when we will see the newly design sets from the big three of Android world: Samsung, HTC and LG. Sony, too has plans of its own, but so far we only know that it’s planning to curb the six-monthly release cycle in favor of yearly flagship, and thus may launch the Xperia Z4 in July — Sony launched its Xperia Z and Z2 in March of 2013, and 2014 respectively, while Z1 and Z3 September of 2013 and 2014 respectively.
LG G4 release date is also rumored to be sometime in June-July, as LG plans to release its flagship only a couple of months after both Samsung and HTC have shown what they have in store, and may prepare its G4 accordingly, at least as regards specs.
We know some bits of LG G4 specifications already, though.
A Quad HD display and an improved 16MP camera are to be expected, along with the Snapdragon 810 chip with either of 3GB or 4GB RAM. A strangely smaller 5.3″ display is also being touted, but we think G4 won’t be less than its current size of 5.5″, unless LG too is planning a G4 plus device like HTC One M9 Plus of which we’ve heard nothing.
How excited are you about LG G4?
