There is enticing news for those LG G Pad 8.0 (V480) users in South Korea. The firm has rolled out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the tablet in the region. This update with the version number V48020a is officially available via FOTA, LG mobile Support Tool and LG PC Suite Software only in the maker’s homeland South Korea.
As of now, there is no information on the official changelog that will be brought in by the Lollipop update to the LG tablet. Anyways, we can expect the Material Design, lock screen notifications, heads-up notifications and others.
Notably, LG has not announced any details regarding the rollout of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the LG G Pad 8.0 tablet in the other markets. But, we can expect the same to happen in the coming weeks.
The LG G Pad V480 is based on Android 4.4 KitKat and it was launched in the last year. The slate houses an 8 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and it makes use of a quad core 1.2 GHz processor paired with 1 GB of RAM.
