In Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, there are five WayneTech Caches in Knight at the Museum, and the fastest route is: foyer left balcony, mammoth exhibit partition, drone-up to the window ledge, pirate ship archway, then the ticket booth roof.
| Cache # | Exact location | What to do | Common blocker |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Museum foyer, left side balcony near the diplodocus display | Grapple the pipe to put out the fire, then open the cache. | If the cache is burning, you need Batman’s grapple interaction first. |
| 2 | Mammoth exhibition, behind a movable partition | Move the partition aside to reveal the cache. | It is hidden from the main path until the obstacle is shifted. |
| 3 | Foyer exit route, after using Batgirl’s drone to reach the ceiling area, then right-side ledge by the window | Use the drone to create a perch point, grapple up, then jump across to the ledge. | If the perch point is unavailable, progress until Batgirl’s drone is unlocked. |
| 4 | Pirate ship room, right side behind a crate in an archway | Look right after entering the room, then clear the hidden spot and open the cache. | Easy to miss because it sits off the main camera angle. |
| 5 | Ticket booth roof at the end of the mission | Use Batgirl’s drone to reach the roof, then grab the final cache. | If you cannot reach the roof, you need the drone route from the gift shop side. |

Mission rewards
| Collectible type | Count in this mission | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| WayneTech Caches | 5 | All are mission-specific collectibles in Knight at the Museum / Gotham Museum. |
| Spaceships | 5 | They are separate from the caches and sit along the same mission route. |
| Red Brick | 1 | The mission also includes the Fire Breather modifier Red Brick. |
Mistakes to avoid
- Don’t confuse WayneTech Caches with the spaceship collectibles; they are tracked separately.
- Don’t rush past the foyer fire cache, because you must extinguish the flames before the chest can be opened.
- Don’t assume the drone route is optional; one cache depends on Batgirl’s drone traversal.
- Don’t overlook side angles in the pirate ship room, because one cache is tucked behind a crate in an archway.
- Don’t leave the Ticket Booth roof for last without checking the upper platform route, because that is where the final cache sits.
What players usually miss
The third cache and the final cache are the most commonly skipped because both rely on vertical movement and drone setup rather than simple room sweeping. The second cache is the next easiest miss because the partition hides it completely until you interact with the obstacle.
