The LeEco Le Max 2 is yet to hit the markets but developers over at xda already have an unofficial build of TWRP recovery ready to be flashed on the device.
The unofficial build comes from xda user HostZero who compiled the build using Omni 6.0 sources. Apparently, the dev doesn’t have the device in hand to test the compiled build, so we couldn’t be sure yet if the recovery is fully functional or partly broken.
If you happen to own a LeEco Le Max 2, and are good with stuff like this, kindly test the TWRP build linked below and let the dev know how it performs.
Download LeEco Le Max 2 TWRP RecoveryThat said, we’re pretty confident that this recovery build could flash things. Meaning, you could flash the SuperSU zip by Chainfire and get root on your LeEco Le Max 2.
How to Root LeEco Le Max 2
- Install TWRP Recovery via Fastboot.
└ Get the TWRP recovery .img file from the download link above. - Boot into TWRP recovery and take a full backup from the recovery options.
- Flash SuperSU zip and get root access.
That it. We hope that this works good for you.
Happy Androiding!
