Leaked Moto G7 image renders reveal waterdrop notch and dual rear cameras

Motorola Moto G6 was only released in June this year, but news of an early release of its successor, Moto G7, has been doing the rounds of late. This time around MrGizmo claims to have got its hands on the first Moto G7 press renders which exhibit a significant shift in the design of Moto G phones.

The Moto G7 is believed to come with a waterdrop notch on the front panel in place of the horizontal notch that we saw on Moto G6. Additionally, the phone may also sport a dual camera setup at the rear (16MP+5MP) with a 12MP snapper on the front. The fingerprint scanner at the back may be embedded on the Motorola logo.

While there seem to some design improvements overall, we still don’t particularly like the Motorola branding at the bottom of the front panel. It takes up space unnecessarily which could have been used for a bigger screen or removed altogether for a more compact design instead. Anyway, this might not be the final design as Motorola is yet to make any official statement as of now.

As for specs, it is rumored that the phone will sport a 6.4″ FHD+ screen, be powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset supported by 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, and run on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. The phone may also support Qi Wireless charging.
