The Chinese manufacturer Huawei is claimed to be working on eight new smartphone models. A leaked roadmap of the firm’s launch plans reveals some details of these models as well.
As per the leaked information, Huawei will be launching the Ascend D8, Mate 8, Honor 7 and three more models in the Honor lineup. The first one that is the Ascend D8 is all set to be released this month. It is claimed to carry a 5.5 inch 2K display, employ a HiSilicon processor and boast of a metallic body.
In June, Huawei is said to introduce the next generation Huawei Mate phablet called Mate 8 boasting of a 6 inch display with 2K resolution and Kirin chipset. It is said that this device will feature a 16 MP main snapper with optical image stabilization and have a classy alloy chassis as the Mate 7. The device is also claimed to arrive with a fingerprint scanner.
July is likely to see two models, but the exact models that will be launched are not known. They will be mid range smartphones in the Honor lineup. It is said that one will have a 5.5 inch Full HD 1080p display and the other will have a 5 inch HD 720p display. Both are said to be powered by Qualcomm chipsets and feature a metallic chassis.
Talking about the Honor 7, the device is likely to arrive in August. It is said that two variants of the device will be launched and that the premium model will be the Honor 7 with a dual 13 MP main snapper, Kirin chipset and a 5.5 inch display. The other one is claimed to boast of a 5.5 inch display and feature a single 13 MP snapper.
The Huawei P9 is also pegged for Android launch and it is likely to flaunt a 5.2 inch display, a 16 MP main snapper with optical image stabilization and Kirin processor. Finally, there will be a mid range Honor smartphone with a 5 inch Full HD display and HiSilicon chipset, and it will be launched in December.
