A small but super practical change has landed with iOS 26. Apple now lets users tweak the snooze duration for alarms—finally giving you more control over your wake-up routine.
As seen in the attached screenshot, editing an alarm now includes a new “Snooze Duration” option—something that wasn’t possible in previous iOS versions.
By default, iPhones stuck to a fixed 9-minute snooze, but now in iOS 26, you can change it to something shorter or longer—like 2 minutes, as shown in the image.

It’s tucked under the alarm editing screen, right below the snooze toggle.
This small feature has been widely requested, and users are already loving it. Redditor u/Basic_Gate_111 noted, “Finally! I hated the 9 min.” Another user, u/zenkat64, joked, “Apple finally gave us this after a decade of oversleeping.”
It’s a subtle tweak but a meaningful one—especially for folks who’ve always wanted to fine-tune their mornings. iOS 26 is quietly making daily routines better.
