A XDA Developers user posted leaked images of an unannounced LG smartphone, but it is alleged not to be the firm’s upcoming flagship device, LG G4. Well, the back of the device resembles the LG G3 with a power button, speaker, and flash. It appears like the device has a stylus or an antenna at its top left.
Moreover, the camera sensor’s shape seems to be different with a more squarish look and the power button looks like a rounded rectangle. Also, the handset has hefty bezels while the past flagship models launched by LG have minimal horizontal bezels.
The baseband version in a leaked image shows MSM8936 that is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 mid range chipset that will unlikely be used to power flagship devices that are high-end.
On the software front, the leaked device seems to borrow the design cues from LG G3 with tweaks corresponding to the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The icon themes are low-key, systems apps have non-flashy and there are rounded toggles. But, it is claimed that the device runs on the old LG G3 UI still. However, LG’s Mobile Head assured to rollout a revamped software design for the LG G4 and hence, this leaked device is not the firm’s flagship smartphone.
Anyways, we need to wait until LG reveals something officially about the LG G4 and this leaked device to know more about the smartphones.
