The application makes use of Bluetooth connectivity to enable the communication between your smartwatch and car. Once it is connected, the wearer can tap the icon or use voice commands such as “Start my car”, “Find my car” or “Lock my car.”
Besides these functions, the Blue Link app will also help the Hyundai car owners to remotely flash lights, call roadside assistance, honk horns and call Blue Link.
The smartwatch application will be compatible with the first set of Blue Link powered Hyundai models that include Sonata launched in 2012, all the models of 2013 and the next generation models launched lately including Azera, Sonata and Genesis.
The Blue Link application is available for free on the Google Play Store and it is compatible with all the smartwatches that run on Android Wear platform. The downside is that the remote functions are currently applicable only in the US market.
