A lot of manufactures have been joining the 7 incher tablet market lately since it’s both pocket friendly and usability friendly and also gives consumers the pride and goodies of owning a tablet. For a manufacturer, having a 7 inch tablet in their portfolio of devices is definitely worth the effort.
Huawei also announced its Ice Cream Sandwich running 7 inch MediaPad 7 Lite tablet last month. And it has now passed through the FCC corridors, so expect it being available for purchase soon enough.
The MediaPad 7 Lite sports a 1024 x 600 IPS Display, 1.2 Ghz Cortex A8 Processor, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, HSPDA 3G Radio, 8GB internal storage, MicroSD card support upto 32GB, 1GB RAM, 4100 mAh battery, 3.2MP main camera and .3MP at front.
The 7 inch tablet will first ship to Asia and Europe and then in Germany by October this year. The price of the MediPad 7 Lite has been set at 249 euros ($315), which may give it a thin chance to compete against other 7 inch tablets around which are priced at $200 and has specsheets of a better tomorrow.
