After the launch of Y5 2017 last month, Huawei has released yet another entry-level phone named as Y3 2017. Successor to Huawei Y3 II launched last year, the phone has made a silent entry into Huawei’s online page listing.
The new generation of Huawei Y3 has been released in five colors viz Gold, Pink, Blue, White, and Gray. The phone, in all respects, come in the budget category. There’s a 5-inch FWVGA display with a curved body. Although the official page does not mention the SoC on board, we believe it should be MediaTek MT6737M quad-core 1.1GHz processor paired with Mali T720 graphics.

Under the hood, the phone packs in 1GB RAM and 8GB in-built storage with a microSd card slot which can further expand the memory up to 32GB. The dual SIM 4G smartphone has a 2200mAh battery with an Ultra Power Saving Mode. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 Mini layering on top.
Coming to the cameras, the Huawei Y3 2017 houses an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus and LED flash. On the front, there’s a 2MP camera for capturing selfies. Other camera features include Beauty mode, time-lapse and Panorama. You can also click a photo by just pressing the lower volume button twice when your phone screen is off.
