The next generation Huawei Watch 2 has shown its face for FCC clearance. Sporting model number LEO-DLXX and LEO-DLXXE the Huawei Watch 2 is a pretty big update over the last generation smartwatch bringing in brand new features to the lot. The first model allows you to add a 4G SIM card and the latter model comes with an embedded SIM.
The information obtained from the FCC certification also confirms that the smartwatch will have LTE capabilities. Compared to the original Huawei watch, the RAM on board has been bumped up to 768MB from 512MB. The battery life has also seen a small but useful upgrade from 300mAh to 420mAh — a 40% increment!
Coming to the main engines that drive the device, the Huawei Watch will transition from the smartphone based Snapdragon 400 processor to the wearables specific Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. The display stays about the same as, with minute changes, at 1.2-inches and 390 x 390 pixels spread over the watch face.

The smartwatch will also move to a two button input interface from the single button present on the original Watch. The Huawei Watch 2 will also be running on the new Android Wear 2.0. There are of course other variants which are also expected to be revealed soon.
