Xiaomi has been busy lately, they’ve had a lot on their hands with the unveiling of their Surge S1 processors processors and the first device it runs on, the Xiaomi Mi 5C.
The Redmi 4X has been released with low to mid-range segment in mind with the design of the device giving it a distinctive and premium look, which at this price point, is simply marvelous. The device comes with an octa core Snapdragon 435 chipset and is available in 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB Storage variants with support for expandable storage upto 128GB.
The 5-inch HD (720p) display is powered by a massive 4100mAh battery which in all honesty is a bit of an overkill for a device of this size. While the front of the device has relatively big bezels accompanied by a 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, the rear end houses its fingerprint sensor and a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and LED Flash.
Unfortunately, the device seems to run on Android Marshmallow, which is bit of a disappointment. The device will likely come in Black and Gold colors and will go for sale in the month of March.
While the 2GB RAM/16GB Storage variant will likely cost an approximate INR 7,000 the higher spec 3GB RAM/32GB Storage variant will sell more or less for INR 9,000 in India.
