March 30, 2019: Owners of the Huawei Nova 2 and its Plus counterpart are on the receiving end of a new EMUI update that bumps the custom skin’s version to 8.0.0.360.
In addition to installing March 2019 security patches, the update also does the usual system optimization and bug fixing exercise, so be sure to grab it once it shows up on your device. Speaking of, the OTA is only targeting those using models PIC-AL00 and PIC-TL00 of the Nova 2 and BAC-AL00 and BAC-TL00 of the Nova 2 Plus.
In order to receive the latest EMUI 8.0.0.360 on your Chinese variant of the Nova 2 or Nova 2 Plus, you need to have at least version 8.0.0.359 installed – the version that brought the February patch.

Android 9 Pie update
Huawei has not given any indication that it plans to update the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus to the latest available Android OS, Pie. Both devices, by virtue of the processor under the hood, are budget phones and usually, this group of phones gets a single Android OS upgrade.
Having made their debut running Android Nougat, the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus are already on Android Oreo. If and when Pie will arrive remains unknown to us, but we hope to get more concrete info pretty soon and update this post accordingly.
