It’s been just over a month since Huawei Mate 20 Pro was launched in China and subsequently in Europe and Australia. However, Huawei’s new flagship device didn’t dock in the Indian shores making us wonder if the device would ever come. But now, Huawei has confirmed that they will indeed be selling the phone in India and have confirmed November 27 as the launch date.

It is worth remembering that Huawei’s previous Mate devices, Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro weren’t sold in India for reasons unknown and hence until this late announcement, Huawei had us thinking that it will repeat the same story yet again. However, it is yet unclear whether other phones from the Mate 20 series will set sail towards India or not.

Thus far, Huawei and its sub-brand, Honor, had dipped its feet in the low-end and mid-range market segments in India. As those phones were very well received by the Indian public, Huawei may have found it prudent to finally enter the premium segment. And what better phone than the Mate 20 Pro to do that!
