Huawei Maimang 5 and G9 Plus get new Nougat update with B339

The Android 7.0 Nougat beta release for Maimang and G9 Plus was started by Huawei as early as December last year which is still rolling out with new beta updates. As of now, Huawei is pushing out another batch of Android 7.0 Nougat beta update to the two devices.

The build number for the new Nougat beta update is B339 which is being seeded out to users who have signed for the beta program. One needs to have either B150, B159 or B166 firmware build installed on their device in order to be eligible to get the new B339 update.

Notably, the Huawei Maimang 5 is the Chinese variant of the G9 Plus.

Launched way back in July 2016 with Marshmallow on board, both the handsets are powered by the Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC. They come in two storage options. One with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and the other with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The battery on board is 3340mAh.

Meanwhile, Huawei is working on releasing the Android 7.0 Nougat update for GR5 Mini as the Nougat powered device was spotted on Geekbench recently. Also, in the first week of this month, Huawei started beta testing Nougat for the Honor 6X in India.
