A new software update with build number D001 is available for the Huawei Nova 2i. The update, which installs the latest Android security patch, is now rolling out over the air.
Here’s the full changelog:
- [New] Google security patches
- The Maori language is added to Display support languages list
- Swype Input Method Added along with Swift Input method (default will be Swift Keyboard)
- Cell broadcast improvement
It’s worth noting that the Huawei Nova 2i has different names in other markets. For instance, it’s known as Maimang 6 in China, Honor 9i in India and Mate 10 Lite in Europe and other parts. The Chinese and Indian Honor 9i variants recently received updates, but it seems each market is getting a slightly different treat.
Huawei Nova 2i users will receive a software bump from version RNE-L22C636B101CUSTC636D002 to RNE-L22C636B132CUSTC636D001. Simply out, version B101 to B132.
Given that other Huawei phones have been receiving this month’s security patches, we’d like to believe the story is the same for the Nova 2i. If otherwise, feel free to let us know in your comments below.
