Huawei Honor 6X spotted running Android 7.0 update on Geekbench

Those of you who own or are looking forward to buy the Honor 6X are in for a nice surprise. The Honor 6X will be receiving the update to Android Nougat in the coming few months as the device with model number Huawei BLN-L21 was spotted running Android 7.0 Nougat today.

The update can be expected to hit the device relatively soon as the beta for Android 7.0 Nougat update has been in test phase for quite some time now.

The smartphone which was released back in October 2016 performs extremely well for a mid ranger. The Honor 6X runs on Huawei’s own octa-core Kirin 655 processor clocked at 2.1GHz (4x A53 cores) and 1.7GHz (4x A53 cores). Coupled with 4GB of RAM and 3340mAh battery, the Honor 6X makes a killer package especially for the price it retails at.

Considering that the Honor 6X shipped with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, it’s great to see Huawei catering to the needs of Honor 6X owners in just a few months time by providing Android 7.0 update in timely fashion.
