Huawei has released a new budget smartphone in European market named as Ascend Y540 which can be looked as a successor of the Ascend Y530. However, the company hasn’t made any official official announcements of the device yet, but according to a Dutch publication named GSM Helpdesk, this phone is already available in local markets at the price tag of EUR 109 (approximately Rs. 7,700).

There is a support page for Ascend Y540 live on Huawei site which confirms its existence.

Ascend Y540 features a 4.5-inch WVGA (480×854 pixels) display identical to Ascend Y530 launched last year. It will be powered by Mediatek Dual-core 1.3 GHz processor with Mali-400 GPU, 1Gb RAM, 4GB internal storage (expandable upto 32GB), Dual SIM support, and 1950mAh battery.

As for the camera, Ascend Y540 features a 5MP rear camera along with 0.3 MP camera on front. The phone comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Huawei’s skin on the top.

This clearly is a budget device so we expect it to release in Asian markets as well, where there is a good demand of such devices.
