In 2015, Huawei was the first Android-based OEM to introduce 3D touch in their smartphones, sometime before Apple gave birth to the famous 3D touch technology in the same year.

Pertinently, looks like Huawei is working on a new technology, which would be a step forward in touch-based technology. Known as Huawei 4D Touch, the new technology could open doors for unimaginable things.

In case you are wondering who told us, well, Huawei has applied for a trademark dubbed as “Huawei 4D touch”. The ‘Huawei 4D touch’ trademark application is dated June 9th, 2017 and goes with application number 2017060618. The trademark is filed at the Malaysia –MyIPO office, and is under the ‘Application filed’ status right now, meaning it’s yet to be approved for now (which, should be gained without any trouble we guess).

Moreover, since Huawei is expected to release its upcoming flagship device, Huawei Mate 10 at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year, the new 4D touch could debut with Mate 10 itself.

Meanwhile, Huawei recently announced its Honor 9 smartphone that features Kirin 960 chipset, 6GB RAM, and dual camera besides 5.15-inch Full HD display and 3,200mAh battery.
