HTC’s Desire 826 — which was launched a couple of months ago in select countries — is finally about to reach India. The news comes via a recent announcement from HTC which also fixed the maximum price of the device at around 26k.

The Taiwanese companay’s newest offering will come with a 5.5-inch full HD display and run on a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. The device, which is powered by a 2600 mAh battery is quite sophisticated looking with its dual-tone color and dual finish.

For all those camera addicts out there, there is a 13 MP rear and an Ultrapixel front cam. Memory wise, you have 2 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage and an external Micro-SD card slot. The whole package is powered by Android 5.0-based Sense UI.

??????????????????????????????????????????????

The device also continues HTC’s tradition of great sound with its dual front-facing speakers which come equipped with BoomSound and Dolby digital Audio.

According to Faisal Siddiqui, President, South Asia, HTC “Our consumer today represents an individuality that has quite a resolute fabric, each one being a strong and special personality in their own stride. We at HTC understand our consumer and design products to sit their being. The HTC desire 826 is yet another effort of ours to combine superior quality features in a stunning smartphone at a smart price,”

Well between the One M9 and the Desire 826, HTC certainly has put plenty of options on the table for its customers — and thats not even counting its rumored M9+ and E9 — but then considering the fact that it has the likes of OnePlus One and Xiaomi’s Mi 4 to compete against, its probably a good thing.
