While the One M9 smartphone is eagerly anticipated to be launched in India, HTC has announced the launch of the One M9+ and One E9+ smartphones in the country today at a press conference held in the national capital. Notably, the firm unveiled both these smartphones in China earlier this month.
HTC has announced that the One M9+ will be going on sale from May 3 for a pricing of Rs 52,500 and the One E9+ will start retailing from the second half of May. However, the pricing of the One E9+ is yet to be announced.
In terms of specs, the HTC One M9+ is given a 5.2 inch Quad HD 1440p display and it makes use of a 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 octa core processor auded by 3 GB of RAM. The device running on Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped with Sense 7 packs in 32 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded using a micro SD card slot.
On the imaging front, One M9+ uses a 20 MP rear camera with depth sensor and an UltraPixel front shooter. There is HTC Duo Camera set-up as well. The One M9+ sports a touch based fingerprint sensor, BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio and all metal unibody design with dual-tone color finish. Other aspects are 2,840 mAh battery, NFC, and 4G LTE support.
HTC One E9+, on the other hand, is bestowed with a 5 inch Quad HD display 1440p display and there is a 20 MP rear camera. The dual SIM smartphone is energized by a 2,800 mAh battery. It has similar specifications as the One M9+ with a MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 3 GB of RAM, Android 5.0 with Sense 7, UltraPixel front shooter, 4G LTE support and NFC.
While the One M9+ has an all metal build, the One E9+ is made of plastic. However, there is dual-tone color finish.
HTC India has introduced the HTC One Privileges program for One M9+ buyers in India. As per this plan, the One M9+ buyers will get insurance for the phone for a year and it will cover accidental or liquid damages. Also, they will get vouchers worth Rs 15,000 from Myntra.com.
