HTC One M9 32 GB to Launch in Taiwan on Saturday, 64 GB Variant Coming on March 27

HTC was to launch its flagship smartphone One M9 earlier this week in Taiwan, but there was a delay due to software glitches. Now, HTC has confirmed via a Facebook post that the device will be launched in Taiwan on Saturday. It has revealed that the 32 GB variant of One M9 will be going on sale tomorrow and that the 64 GB variant will be launched on March 27.

The 32 GB and 64 GB variants of HTC One M9 are priced at TWD 21,900 (approx. Rs 43,400) and TWD 23,900 (approx Rs 47,400) respectively. Though HTC announced that its flagship device will be announced in the global markets starting from mid-March there is no word on the global availability of the device in the other regions.

The HTC One M9 is an all-metal smartphone with a unibody design and it is fueled by Android 5.0 Lollipop topped with Sense 7 UI. The device is stuffed with a 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa core processor backed by 3 GB of RAM and it supports expandable storage support up to 128 GB.

The One M9 sports a 5 inch full HD display with a 1080p resolution and there is a 20 MP autofocus rear camera with sapphire cover lens, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, dual LED flash and support for 4K video recording. At the front, there is a UltraPixel selfie camera. The device packs the HTC Eye Experience software features and Zoe app as well for a great photography experience.

On the connectivity front, the One M9 packs Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, NFC, GLONASS, GPS/A-GPS, micro USB, 3G and LTE. It draws power from a 2,840 mAh battery that can render long hours of backup.

  1. Looks nice. Hope the solved the super heating Snapdragon problem. 2.2 aperture camera will keep it well below the Samsung camera in quality terms though. HTC cameras have not been great. Should have bumped that up a bit more.
