Earlier this month, HTC unveiled its flagship smartphone One M9 at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. But, in the Japanese market, the firm’s flagship has a different name and it is none other than HTC Butterfly. Usually, the Butterfly lineup of devices will be arriving with similar innards as the One lineup, but the design will be different.
In the Japanese market, the HTC Butterfly lineup will be competing with the devices from other vendors such as Panasonic, Sharp and Kyocera.
Till now, HTC did not reveal any details regarding the launch plans of the Butterfly smartphone for this year as it had its focus on its flagship One M9. Now, a few recent tweets from @upleaks reveal that the HTC J Butterfly 3 is slated to launch in late April or early May in the Japanese and other Asian markets.
As for the specifications, the source reveals that the J Butterfly 3 will be given a larger display with a higher screen resolution in comparison to that of the HTC One M9. Well, to be specific, it is likely to measure 5.2 inches and pack in a Quad HD 1440p resolution.
The J Butterfly 3 will go official on the carrier KDDI in Japan with support to VoLTE network and it will arrive in three vibrant colors such as Blue, Red and White.
