HTC has indeed started the rollout of its Nougat update it promised yesterday, beginning with the HTC 10 developer edition its seems. The software version of the Android 7.0 build is 2.28.617.8 — against the 2.28.401.6 build that leaked as Nougat custom ROM — for the developer version, coming in at the size of 1.11GB.
Besides the Android 7.0 Nougat update we see in its changelog, the update also packs in security patches and system enhancements.
Now that the Nougat OTA is out for one variant, we expect all HTC 10 sets around to world to be bestowed with Nougat update pretty soon.
If you are in USA, though, the wait could be longer as HTC is looking to update the unlocked sets first of all. Find the expected release date of HTC 10 Nougat update here for Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.
We expect HTC to rollout the One M9 Android 7.0 update pretty soon now, and that should begin with unlocked variants too.
