Since its launch in China back in December 2017, the Huawei Honor 9 Lite has been praised (see our review here) for the great value for money it offers.
Whether it’s the design or the specs, be it the camera or the software, the phone has it all. At just under $175 (Rs 10,999 in India) the Honor 9 Lite gives you the best bang for your money, but like any other phone, it may still suffer from the usual issues that affect Android phones, for instance, a frozen screen or a generally unresponsive device.
For savvy users, this isn’t anything to worry about, but for the average user, it can be a huge cause of concern. Despite being affordable, no one would want to have the worst experience with the Honor 9 Lite.
So, what should you do if the Honor 9 Lite won’t respond to anything, be it touching the screen or even pressing the buttons?
Well, the first thing is to calm down because this is quite normal. Since the 3000mAh battery unit on board is not removable – which was the easiest way to deal with a frozen or non-responsive phone – you’ll have to use another trick to shut down and force restart the Honor 9 Lite.
It’s easy, though it sounds technical! All you need to do is simply press and hold the Power button for about 8-10 seconds, or until you feel a vibration. This indicates that the phone has successfully shut down. After a few seconds, the Honor 9 Lite will automatically restart.

Note that this will not affect any data stored on Honor 9 Lite, which is usually the case when resetting any phone. It is just restarting the device.
