How to Play 1v1.lol Game

1v1 is one of the most popular multiplayer shooter games that is currently doing rounds on the market. If you are a fan of Fortnite but have been unable to play the game properly due to an underperforming PC, then you should definitely give 1v1 a try.

1v1 is a browser-based shooter action that incorporates common building abilities as well. This allows you to create complex structures in a bid to stay on top of your opponent. The game allows you to carry two guns and an axe. You can even adjust in-game mouse sensitivity and volume. The best part about 1v1 is that it is a totally browser-based application that can run in virtually every desktop-based browser.

How to play the 1v1.lol game on PC

Step 1: Visit the home page of 1v1.lol in your favorite browser and wait for the embedded application in the page to fully load up.

Step 2: Enter your desired nickname in the text field ‘Enter Name’ below the 1v1 logo.

Step 4: Once you have set up the desired settings, head over to the ‘Controls’ tab. Here you can customize and remap your controls according to your liking.

Step 5: After you have set up your control scheme, simply tap on the game mode you want to play. 1v1 currently sports 6 different game modes including the likes of battle royale, box matches, 1v1, party and just build it.

For starters, tap the 1v1 (Against random player) button to start a game and get the feel of it. To practice first, choose the ‘Just Build’ option on the home page.

Note: If you have started the match without setting your name, your name will be set to a default ‘no-name’ value. This might make it difficult for your friends to identify you in battle royale and box matches.

What to do if 1v1.lol game lags

You should now be able to play the game without any issues. If your game starts to lag or if you are experiencing extremely low frame rates, then it is likely that hardware acceleration is turned off in your browser.

You can toggle it on, which will significantly increase the performance of your game. If you do not know how to turn on hardware acceleration for your browser, then follow our simple step by step guide stated below.

How to turn on hardware acceleration in chrome?

Step 1: Open Chrome and then click on the 3-dot button in the top right-hand corner of your chrome browser (not the game).

Step 2: Select ‘Settings’ and start scrolling until you see the ‘Advanced’ option. Click on it to open chrome advanced settings.

Step 3: Navigate your way to the ‘System’ tab and toggle on the switch titled ‘use hardware acceleration when available’.

Hardware acceleration will now be turned on for your browser which will significantly increase the frame rate for 1v1.lol.

Which browser should I use for better performance

Note: We recommend chrome if you plan on playing 1v1 seriously. Chrome offers regular updates and has the ability to support hardware acceleration which can seriously improve the game’s performance. You can also choose to opt for Firefox or Opera as they have been tested by the community and they support hardware acceleration. On the other hand, you should avoid Safari and Edge as reports suggest poor performance for 1v1 in these browsers.

How to play the 1v1.lol game on your phone

The developer has made the game available on both the Apple Store and Google Play Store for iOS and Android devices respectively. The game’s called justbuild.lol on mobile devices.

You can’t play the 1v1.lol game on your mobile’s browser, at least normally.

Should I practice first?

1v1 is a game that purely relies on skill. You can not buy additional upgrades nor do you get any perks by winning extra matches. This helps keep the playing field even while giving every participating player a chance to win the match. This fairground battlefield also means that experience in playing the game is the key to winning matches. The more you know about the game, the higher your chances are at winning.

The experience will also help you learn a lot of strategies, and understand the different tactics involved to play the game. Hence practicing before you actually start competing against friends and the leaderboard is a great idea. You can practice your building skills and get a better feel for your controls. Most players are extremely good at creating structures in the game, so if you are someone who is new to the concept of creating your own structures in a PvP shooter, then you should definitely practice your building skills first.

I advise you to start by learning how to build straight walls and ramps which will help you gain higher ground easily and efficiently. Getting to a higher ground than your enemies is an all-time popular tried and tested strategy in the world of 1v1. Simply create a 90-degree structure until you are higher than your enemies. You can then start shooting them. It’ll make it much easier for you to get headshots and deal much more damage to your enemies. Check out this video below.

So start by practicing your basic structures, create walls, ramps and 360-degree defenses that can help you save from enemy fire. This will help you get used to your controls as well while increasing your building speed in the process. Practicing this will also help improve your aim and get you used to the overall gameplay of 1v1.

Should I play 1vs1 mode?

If you are looking for intense action-packed competition then the 1vs1 mode is the perfect choice for you. This game mode gives you the ability to battle against another random player from around the world in a confined map with no roof. This gives you the ability to create high rise structures while simultaneously battling it out against a single enemy.

This might seem like an easy task to veteran battle royale players, as you won’t have to worry about other players showing up, but I assure you that it is not so. You will be required to defend yourself while ensuring that you have a clear view of your target. Players in the 1v1 game mode are notorious for building swiftly so make sure you have practiced your building skills before jumping into this game mode. Moreover, you need to be sure of your aim as a single headshot from your opponent could cost you the match.

All in all, if you have recently started playing the game, then I would not recommend 1v1 to you. On the other hand, it is a great way for amateurs to gauge the competition out there and work on their skills accordingly to compete with the best.

Should I play 1vs1 Competitive mode?

If you are a rookie or an amateur at 1v1 then you should avoid the competitive mode. The 1v1 competitive mode pits you against ranked players that have a similar or higher rank to you. Each match wins you trophies and increases or decreases your rating depending on the result. This makes this mode extremely hard to play as you keep progressing with your scores.

On the other hand, it is a great way to keep yourself on the edge and a great motivator that will keep forcing you to get better for the next match. You can use this game mode to climb the leaderboard in a bid to become the best player in the world at 1v1. It would be a good idea to practice for a few days in order to improve your skills if you want to keep your winning streak going in the competitive game mode.

Should I play Battle Royale mode?

Of course! Battle Royale is a fun game mode that will pit you against 10 random players from around the world in a confined map. This will give you the opportunity to pick your targets based on your preference and develop a strategy that best suits you. You can either build the highest structure and pick everyone out from there or simply start destroying other players’ structures before they even have a chance to hit you, the choice is completely yours.

Battle Royale also gives you the opportunity to study fellow players and get a grasp over their strategies. You can even practice your building skills in the game and try out new strategies against different players before jumping into the competitive mode. Battle Royale does not affect your ratings nor does it affect your competitive score. This allows you to casually enjoy the game without having to give it your 100% every time.

Should I play Box mode?

If you are bad at building structures and are just starting out, then you should definitely give the Box mode a try. Box mode is exactly what it seems to be, a confined box with a set roof that prevents players from building high rise structures. This levels out the playing field and gives you the chance to pick out your enemies without having to worry about people shooting you from a high rise structure.

Box mode only gives you the ability to create structures that are the height of a single wall. Anything above that gets blocked by the invisible roof that has been put up by the developers. This allows the Box mode to offer you much more competitive gameplay where you can only defend yourself by building structures rather than using them to gain an unfair advantage over other players from high above the ground. If you are new to the game and are fed up with players reaching a higher ground than you and killing you off early in the game, then the Box mode is definitely your chance at redemption.

Box mode results do not get counted towards your competitive rating which makes it an excellent choice for casual gameplay as well.

Should I play Party mode?

Party mode is the only way to compete with your friends in 1v1. You can enter the party mode, create your own room and invite your friends. After that, you can create your own games and play them with your own rules. You can even hold build-offs against each other and play box matches depending on your liking.

To play with your friends, you need to enter the party mode and create your own room. Once the room is created, you will be assigned a unique room ID. This room ID can then be used by your friends to join the same room. Once everyone has joined the room, the host can decide and launch different games depending on your liking. Party mode is a great way to let off some steam and enjoy fun gameplay with your friends. On the other hand, it is also a great way to earn some extra bragging rights and be on top of your game.
