Where to find all required ingredients
Before Tarrok can craft the Ulu-Mulu, you must bring him trophies from four powerful creatures scattered across the Colony. Each monster presents a different challenge, and some require navigating dangerous areas filled with enemies.
Fire Lizard trophy location
The Fire Lizard can be found at Shipwreck Beach. Travel to the coastal area where the wreckage lies and search the shoreline. The creature patrols nearby and can be difficult for lower-level characters because of its fire-based attacks. Once defeated, loot the required trophy from its body.
Great Shadowbeast location
The Great Shadowbeast is one of the more complicated targets because reaching it involves a special encounter. Near its location, you must use Xardas’s spell to summon a Stone Golem. After dealing with the golem and progressing through the area, you can enter a cave where the Great Shadowbeast awaits.
The beast is extremely dangerous and capable of dealing heavy melee damage. Bringing strong weapons, healing supplies, and crowd-control abilities can make the fight much easier.
Swampshark Mother location
The Swampshark Mother is found within the Swamp Camp region. Unlike ordinary Swampsharks, this creature is significantly stronger and serves as a unique quest target.
Look around the swampy areas surrounding the camp and prepare for a tougher battle than normal wildlife encounters. Once defeated, collect the required trophy and continue to the next objective.
Troll location
The final ingredient comes from a Troll located in the northern part of the Colony. The monster can be found near the area where players previously visited for a Focus Stone quest.
Trolls possess enormous health pools and devastating attacks. Fighting from behind whenever possible and avoiding direct hits can greatly improve your chances of victory.
How to reach Tarrok beneath the New Camp
After obtaining all four trophies, your next destination is the New Camp.
Following the route through the camp
Enter the New Camp and move through the village section while staying toward the left side. Eventually, you’ll discover an entrance leading into the underground quarry complex.
The route is mostly linear but includes several enemy encounters and valuable loot opportunities. Continue deeper into the tunnels while following the main path.
The underground section is significantly larger than it first appears. As you advance, you’ll eventually arrive at a gateway blocking your progress.
Opening the gate
A side room near the gate contains a wheel mechanism. Interact with the wheel to open the gateway and gain access to the deeper sections of the prison complex.
Following the spiral pathway
Beyond the gate, continue along the winding spiral route that descends further underground. The path eventually leads to the prison area where Tarrok is being held.
After reaching the prison cells, search the area until you find Tarrok.
How to get the Ulu-Mulu from Tarrok
Speak with Tarrok and provide all four monster trophies you collected during the quest.
Tarrok will begin crafting the Ulu-Mulu. After a brief interaction, the weapon will be completed.
Once the crafting process finishes, Tarrok becomes hostile. Defeat him in combat to secure the completed Ulu-Mulu and officially conclude the quest.
