How to Get the Coastal Egg in Grow a Garden

The Coastal Egg is a Summer Update reward tied to High Tide Harvest, not something you should chase through the regular egg loop. Your goal is to dump eligible fruit into the harvest fast enough to push the server score into the Coastal Egg reward tiers.

High Tide Harvest runs every hour and gives players a 10-minute submission window. Since the score is shared across the server, the cleanest route is to prepare fruit before the event starts, then submit heavily once Georgia begins accepting harvest items.

Coastal Egg event route

The Coastal Egg drops from High Tide Harvest Rewards during the Summer Update. When the event begins, Georgia accepts fruit that has the Summer trait or the Tidal mutation, and every submitted fruit adds to the harvest score.

The event is timed tightly. You only get 10 minutes to submit as much eligible fruit as possible, so fast regrowing crops, high-rarity fruit, mutation bonuses, and extra inventory space all matter.

How to get a Coastal Egg chance during High Tide Harvest

Follow this loop whenever High Tide Harvest starts so your server reaches the Coastal Egg reward tiers before the timer ends.

Wait for High Tide Harvest

High Tide Harvest starts every hour, and that is when Georgia begins accepting event fruit.

Bring eligible fruit to Georgia

Submit fruit with the Summer trait or fruit with the Tidal mutation during the 10-minute harvest window.

Use Summer or Tidal fruit

Summer fruit counts by trait, while Tidal fruit comes from High Tide weather and appears with a blue look.

Prioritize fast or valuable crops

Tomato grows back quickly, while Sugar Apple gives more points per fruit.

Let the harvest score finish

Rewards are rolled when High Tide Harvest ends, based on the total serverwide harvest points.

Reach 4,000 harvest points

At 4,000 points, the Coastal Egg enters the reward pool with an 8% drop chance.

Push to 7,500 harvest points

At 7,500 points, you get a second Coastal Egg roll with a 9% drop chance.

Coastal Egg point thresholds

4,000 harvest points is the first Coastal Egg target. Reaching it does not guarantee the egg; it only unlocks the 8% reward roll.

7,500 harvest points is the better target because it gives you two Coastal Egg chances in the same harvest: the 4,000-point roll and the second 9% roll.

Score faster during the 10-minute harvest

Variant mutations add bonus points on top of the fruit’s base value. Pets that help with mutations include Cockatrice, Orchid Mantis, and Fire Wisp. For more carrying room, a backpack setup with Ruby Squids helps, while Red Giant Ants, Giant Ants, and Cape Buffalo can help by duplicating harvested fruit.

Serverwide harvest scoring

High Tide Team Rewards are also tied to the same event flow, so playing with other active players can help you chase more than just the individual harvest rolls. For the Coastal Egg itself, though, the main goal remains simple: push the shared score into the reward tiers before the harvest ends.

Coastal Egg hatch time and pets

The Coastal Egg takes 4 hours to hatch. Its pet pool is small, with Sea Anemone and Seahorse making up most hatches, while Hermit Crab and Orca are the rare pulls.

Sea Anemone and Seahorse are the common Summer XP pets. Orca is the rarest Coastal Egg hatch at 0.5%, so expect to open many eggs if that is the pet you are chasing.

Buying Coastal Egg and shop availability

The regular Pet Egg Shop is not the reliable Coastal Egg route. If you want the event egg without depending on shop rotation, play High Tide Harvest and aim for the 4,000 and 7,500 reward tiers.
