The Apple and Epic Lawsuit has been making the rounds for quite some time now. None of the companies seem too eager to back down and the recent court ruling only made matters worse. With reports of Epic Games partnering with Nvidia to bring Fortnite back for iOS users through a web browser, it would seem that the company is content with their current stance. But that doesn’t seem to be the case as a recent partnership with Disney would reveal.
What is the new Disney and Fortnite partnership?
In an attempt to keep the game going while Epic Games battles it out with Apple, the company has decided to introduce a new promo offer for all the players that make in-app purchases within Fortnite. If you purchase something in the game, you will be entitled to a free Disney Plus subscription for 2 months! After two months are complete, you will need to subscribe to a plan from Disney.
What purchases are eligible?
Any in-game purchases made with a real currency are eligible for this offer. This does not apply to spending in-game Vbucks that you might already have in your account. You will need to either purchase additional Vbucks to be eligible for the offer or purchase in-game introductory packs that are sold for real currency.
When is the offer starting and what are the eligibility criteria?
The offer is valid on all purchases made with real currency after November 6th at 10 pm EDT. The offer is available to all users till 31st December 2020. Any purchases made in Fortnite during this time period will make you eligible to redeem a free Disney+ subscription for two months.
To be eligible to avail this offer, you will need to be 18 years or older and will have to comply with Fortnite’s terms. Additionally, you will also need to be in one of the countries mentioned below to avail the offer.
- Australia
- Austria
- Belgium

Note: Fortnite users in Germany are only being offered Disney+ for 1 month instead.
How to avail the offer once I have made the purchase
Once you have made the purchase, you will be eligible to redeem your code for a Disney + subscription for free. Visit this link ‘fortnite.com/disneyplus’ and you will be asked to sign in with your Epic Games account. Once you are signed in, Fortnite will automatically detect your past purchases and ask you to sign in or sign up with a Disney+ account.
Now you will need to agree to Disney’s privacy policy. Once agreed, you will be asked to add a payment method. You will not be charged on this payment method for the first two months but it will be used to renew your subscription once the trial period is over. Once the payment method has been added, your promo offer will be automatically activated. You should now be able to stream content using Disney+ for free for the next two months.
What if I already have a Disney+ account?
If you already have a Disney+ account with an active subscription then you can not avail this offer. We recommend creating a different Disney+ ID to avail this offer for your Fortnite purchases. Additionally, this offer can be redeemed only once for every Fortnite account.
Can I cancel my subscription before the trial period ends?
Yes, you can easily cancel your Disney+ subscription before the trial period comes to an end. Once you do so, you will not be charged for a subscription after your trial period is over. And even if you cancel your subscription before the renewal date, you will still be able to stream all content from Disney+ until the renewal date is upon you.
