How to enable SD Card Write access on Moto X Play, Style and Pure

This is actually nothing new but because you guys asked about getting error where some of your favorite apps were unable to write to SD Card, here is a fix that will allow your Moto X Play, Moto X Style and Moto X Pure to allows app to write to external SD card.

Since Android 4.4 KitKat, and continuing with 5.0 and 5.1 and 6.0 (Marshmallow), your Android device blocks apps to write to external storage, resulting apps failing to create a new file, or modify any.

To fix this, you would need root access. For that, you first need to install TWRP recovery (which requires unlocked bootloader, btw). So get TWRP here for: Moto X Play | Moto X Pure/Style. Next, flash the SuperSU file to gain root access on the device.

Once you have root access, install the SD KitKat fixer app, open it, and tap on FIX button. That’s it. You can remove the app now. Apps will be able to write to external storage with without any doubt.
