How many profiles can you create on HBO Max?
You can have up to 5 profiles. Given one of them is the account user himself with the default profile, you can create 4 additional profiles besides the default profile.
How many people can use HBO Max at a time on a single account?
Only three people can use an HBO Max account simultaneously.
That’s because HBO Max supports a maximum of three sign-ins from an account at a time. Given you can only play a single video on a device at a time, no matter which profile you use, the maximum number of videos you can watch through a single account are thus limited to three.

How many copies of a movie or show can I download on an HBO Max account?
On a single HBO Max account, you can download up to 5 copies of a show or a movie regardless of the number of devices you might be using.
This means that if you try to download more, you will have to remove previous downloads from your device to access more content. HBO Max also lets you download your content in two different qualities, namely ‘highest quality‘ and ‘fastest download‘.
The highest quality lets you download the show or movie in the highest available quality but will result in longer download times. Fastest download on the other hand is meant to use the least amount of bandwidth and data to provide faster download times.
How to download over mobile data?
By default, HBO Max only allows you to initiate downloads over WIFI. But you can circumvent this restriction and initiate downloads over mobile data as well.
Keep in mind, that this could result in additional data charges depending on your network provider. You should check in with your provider before continuing.
Open the HBO Max app on your mobile device and tap on the profile icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.
Now tap on the ‘Gear‘ icon in the top left corner to access your settings.
Tap on ‘Video Options‘ to access your streaming and download settings.
Now under the ‘Downloads‘ section, disable the toggle for ‘Download over WIFI only‘. This will allow you to initiate downloads over mobile data. We also recommend that you turn on the toggle for ‘Cellular Download Warning‘ as this will show you a disclaimer before your download is initiated over mobile data.
You should now be able to download content over mobile data easily using HBO Max. In case you are new to the streaming service and would like to get in on your Android Tv, then you should check out this guide.
