Looks like Honor is rolling out a new software update for the Honor 6X in the US. No, this isn’t the Android Oreo update, it’s just another security update.
In this update, which bumps the software version to EMUI 5.0.1, users will get the October Android security patch on their device. Apart from that, there are no new features or improvements. The update is for the US variant (BLN-L24) of the Honor 6X only.

If you own the US variant of the Honor 6X, you should be receiving the new update anytime now. It will be available over-the-air, so make sure your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network when downloading. The update is being pushed in a phased manner, so it could even take a week to arrive.
Honor recently released the Android 8.0 Oreo updates for the Honor 9 and Honor V9, while confirming that the Honor 8 and Honor 8 Pro will be getting the update very soon. Huawei has also seeded the Oreo update for the Mate 9 and P10/P10 Plus.
