HBO MAX: How to know if you have watched the video

HBO Max watched video trick

Brought to you by AT&T’s WarnerMedia Entertainment, HBO Max brings a flourish of nostalgia with shows like FRIENDS and Gossip girl, along with a host new shows as well as its own ‘Max Originals’ to make sure there is something for everyone. But as users dive into this new mountain of entertainment, how do you know which shows you’ve watched and which still need a good binge?

Keep an eye on the purple line

To the relief of many streaming connoisseurs, HBO Max brings with it a way to identify which shows you’ve watched and which are still pending. While we love ourselves some Amazon Prime, a number of users have noticed the lack of indication on the titles, pertaining to whether a user has watched it or not.

This is especially annoying if you are simultaneously following multiple shows. How do you know if you have started the show or not?

Luckily HBO thought ahead in this instance and has introduced a purple line as an indication. The line appears at the bottom of the content that you are currently watching or have already watched. For content that you have watched part through, the line indicates the point at which the video was stopped.

This way you don’t need to start streaming the movie, just to check if you’ve watched it or not!
