Update: More Nexus 10 Specs out via leaked manual.

Now that there is good reason to believe that Google would be announcing a Samsung-made 10 inch nexus tablet in its October 29th event, the rumour mills have started buzzing again. So here we go, with the leak of the specs for the soon to be announced Google Samsung Nexus 10 tablet.

Sammobile dug into their own records for the 1o inch Samsung tablet, which was till now, just known by its internal code name Manta, and uncovered that it does have a model number GT-P8110. The model number does make sense as the P in the model number for Samsung devices is  usually reserved for tablets. Some additional specs that are already known and some that have been inferred from the model number are as follows:

  • 10.1-inch display – 2560 × 1600 pixels resolution –  299 PPI
(Based on the FCC clearance details, there seems to be a mention of a 11.8″ display. So while the Samsung Nexus Tablet is certainly coming out, there is still some doubt around whether it will be a 11.8″ or a 10″ model)
  • 2 GHz Exynos 5250 dual-core Cortex-A15 processor
  • WiFi only
  • Android 4.2, unconfirmed but said to be known as Jelly Bean now, not Key Lime Pie

While we have already heard about that awesome jaw-dropping display resolution being features on this tablet, what makes things even more interesting is the addition of the Exynos 5250, which is said to be something that is going to be the daddy of all the current quad-cores out there.

As far as the WiFi only bit goes, with Google likely to announce a 3G enabled version of the Nexus 7 32 GB, it might not be too far fetched to believe that the Nexus 10 will get its own 3G or 4G LTE enabled cousin too. But for now, just that tabtastic display and the Exynos 5250 chip, should be more than enough to get enthusiasts like me drooling, and checking our bank accounts for how much needs to be saved up.
