Guess who’s paid a visit to the GFXBench? It’s the successor to the Google Pixel XL, which will mostly be called as the Pixel XL2. So far, we only know that the device will come with water and dust resistance and that it will still carry a premium price tag.
That’s changing today! According to the listing, the Pixel XL2 will — no points for guessing — be powered be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset clocked at 2.35GHz which is the same as OnePlus 5. FYI, most of the Snapdragon 835 toting devices launched so far were limited to a clock speed of 1.9GHz. There will be an Adreno 540GPU to take care of graphics.
Akin to its predecessor, the Pixel XL2 will continue to pack 4GB of RAM and may come with 128GB of onboard storage by default. Also, the display size seems to have received a slight bump. The Pixel XL2 will now feature a 5.6-inch screen, probably a near bezel-less one in line with the current trend.

The megapixel count on the Pixel XL2 doesn’t seem to be changed for the most as well. It will feature a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. Both the cameras can record videos up to 4K. The listing shows the device with Android 7.1.1 but we are pretty sure it will ship with Android 8.0 (O) onboard.
Now that most of the high-end companies have already launched their flagships for the year, all the eyes are set on Google (and Apple) which is expected to unveil the successor of Google Pixel and Pixel XL sometime in Q4 this year.
