It’s no secret that Qualcomm is working on the incremental successor of the powerful Snapdragon 835 processor in the form of Snapdragon 836. Earlier reports suggested that Snapdragon 836 would release in July and make its debut with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 scheduled to be launched in August.

However, it’s almost the end of the month, but there is no news of Snapdragon 836 processor. This kind of raises doubts whether Note 8 will be the first one to debut with Snapdragon 836 processor. And it’s not.

The recent specs leak of Galaxy Note 8 suggests that the Snapdragon 835 processor will power the device. So, which device will debut with the Snapdragon 836 processor?

Apparently, it seems, similar to the last year, the incremental successor i.e. Snapdragon 836 will debut with Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel XL 2. For those not in the know, last year, the incremental successor of Snapdragon 820 processor, the Snapdragon 821, powered the first generation Pixel devices i.e. Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL.

The recent reports have suggested that the maximal clock speed for both GPU and CPU will increase in Snapdragon 836 processor besides improving the picture quality and battery life.

Further, we could see Snapdragon 836 processor in other devices such as Xiaomi’s Note 3, the Mi MIX 2 and One Plus 5T (if there is any).
