If Amazon can have a cuter Amazon Echo, why should Google stay behind? Giving direct competition to Amazon Echo Dot, Google will announce a new, smaller and cuter version of Google Home on October 4 along with upcoming Pixel 2.

The adorable baby variant of Google Home goes by the moniker Google Home Mini. The Google Home Mini will arrive in Chalk, Charcoal, and Coral colors with fabric at the top and similar colored bases.

The Google Home Mini will be powered by Google Assistant and will let you set reminders, play music, and help you with other home related stuff. The LED lights on top of each unit will blink when you are interacting with Home Mini, similar to the multi-colored LED lights found on current Google Home.

Meanwhile, Google will also announce a new Daydream View headset on October 4. The Google’s latest VR headset will also come in three colors that are similar to the ones found on Google Home Mini viz. Charcoal, Fog, and Coral. It seems Google has replaced the ‘Jersey’ fabric on Daydream View with some new kind of fabric, which looks like nylon.

Further, the new Google Daydream View will cost $99, which is a bit more expensive than the original $79 model. On the other hand, the Google Home Mini will cost you $49.

Meanwhile, Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL pics and price have also leaked out. Check them here.
