After rolling out the Nougat update to the Galaxy A7 2017 a couple of days ago, Samsung is now seeding the update to the Galaxy A5 2017 handsets in Russia. Which means, it’s only a matter of time for the Nougat update to reach the smartphone in other markets where it was launched.
That being said, if you are living in Russia, you should straight away visit Settings > About phone > System updates to check for the Nougat update manually just in case you haven’t received the notification already on your Galaxy A5 2017.

The update, while installing the Nougat OS also brings several changes to the smartphone. A refreshed UI, new performance modes, improved notifications and Quick Settings menu, improved multi-window mode, and a new Samsung Pass feature are a few to name.
Also, taking into account that it’s a big update, we recommend you to download it over a Wi-Fi network to save yourself from additional data costs.
