After the Galaxy A5 2017, Samsung is now rolling out Android Oreo to the Galaxy A3 2017 and guess what, it’s happening in Russia, once again!
The Galaxy A3 2017 received Wi-Fi certification alongside the A5 2017. With the latter’s Oreo update having already kicked off, it was never a doubt that the former will join the party sooner than later. The update comes with software version A320FXXU3CRD4 and is rolling out over the air.
Besides installing Android Oreo, it also brings this month’s Android security patches, just like the Galaxy A5 2017. Since it’s an OTA update, it will take time before it reaches every A3 device. Also, it seems this is a region-wise thing, which makes it hard to know which market is next.

Since the Galaxy A7 2017 and Galaxy S7 were also cleared by the Wi-Fi Alliance alongside the Galaxy A5 2017 and A3 2017, we expect them to start receiving Oreo very soon, too.
