In contrast to what Bloomberg reported, Forbes is reporting that HTC is prepping up to launch a fitness band in collaboration with Under Armour, an American sports accessories and clothing supplier. And the so called HTC fitness band will be unveiled by the company along with its next big launch of smartphone at MWC on March 1, in Barcelona, for which it has already sent out the invites.

While, there are some really juicy details available as regards HTC One M9 specifications. First up, HTC One M9 will sport a 5″ display as Full HD resolution, against the trending Quad HD one that we are expecting on most of the flagships of year 2015. Xiaomi Mi Note Pro for example is one official such device, while leaked Galaxy S6 specs also point to same. Practically, Full HD is quite good for a 5″ device, in fact Quad HD is sort of a gimmick for a display this size. If HTC is looking to save costs bu not paying lip service to specs-gimmick, to provide some other extra feature for that, better Audio for example, it’s pretty good thinking on HTC’s part.

HTC One M9 is expected to come with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed, with new version of its own custom skin, Sense 7. We can expect Sense 7 to feature additional app that would communicate with HTC’s rumored fitness band to get you vital stats of the day. It’s said that Blinkfeed, your customizable news aggregation service on HTC phones, is improving a lot with Sense 7.

The 64-bit Snapdragon processor — whose image’s been tainted a bit by rumors of overheating in Samsung’s testing, unfortunately — will run the show here, along with 3GB RAM. LG has reportedly spoken out in favor of Qualcomm and its Snapdragon 810 processor, which powers the company’s LG G Flex 2, that it’s one of the least overheating processor out there. We hold no concerns, by the way, over SD810’s performance but would love to hear what Samsung has to say on the whole shebang.

Remaining HTC One M9 specs include a 20MP camera at the back. We’ve already seen some HTC One M9 images that were leaked earlier, and they do portray a massive camera at the back with dual LED flash. FYI, Galaxy S6, bound to be unveiled the very next day HTC takes the wraps off of One M9, is said to feature a 20MP shooter, too.

Rumors has been swift about better audio in One M9, and this is further confirmed by today’s rumor. BoomSound with Dolby 5.1 surround sound is said to be on duty on HTC One M9, and knowing from One M7 and M8, we can expect one of the best audio output from One M9.

Remaining HTC One M9 specs point at inclusion of microSD card slot, which found its space on One M8 too, although HTC had kind of ditched that slot long ago, including One M7. It’s a bit surprising because many OEMs have actually subscribed to HTC’s vision, example in case being Xiaomi Mi Note Pro. Even though all Samsung flagships till date feature mircoSD card slot, Galaxy S6 is rumored to come without one — big change, if you ask us!

Like the Galaxy S5 and Asus Zenfone 5, HTC One M9 could have a Glove Mode, too, that when enabled in settings, allows for easy interaction when you are using the phone while wearing gloves.

That’s all we know of the HTC One M9 till date. Keep watching this space to know more.
