Once the coins are in hand, the progression spend is at the Medal Merchant: Applied Technique Books for Work Suitability upgrades and Starfruit for Pal rank upgrades.

Find the Medal Merchant at Desolate Church first

Before you commit to a long farm, visit the Medal Merchant at Desolate Church. This is the easiest early reference point for the Dog Coin shop, and it lets you check the prices before you decide how long you want to grind.

The merchant can appear in other parts of the map as well, but Desolate Church is the clean starting point. You can keep returning there when you need to spend Dog Coins, or capture the merchant and use his services from your base.

Prepare Katress, a flyer, and cold-area gear

Katress does not need a saddle for this route; she only needs to be in your party. The target setup is a four-star Katress, which means catching or breeding enough copies to condense her fully.

Bring a flying mount and prepare for the cold World Tree section before you start. The mount does not have to be the fastest one you own, but flying makes the route much smoother because you can check clustered spawn points quickly and reset your sweep without fighting the terrain.

Use the Desolate Church vendor as the easiest early Dog Coin shop, though the same merchant can appear elsewhere on the map.

Decide where to use the vendor

Capture the merchant for base access if you want, or return to Desolate Church whenever you need to spend Dog Coins.

Put Katress in your party

Mimog is a Neutral Pal, so a fully condensed Katress gives the 80% Neutral Pal item drop effect while she stays in your party.

Go to the World Tree area

Head for the cold section of the World Tree region, where Mimog shows up often during the 1.0 farming route.

Applied Technique Books, also seen as Applied Handbooks, permanently raise the matching Work Suitability of the specific Pal that reads the book. That makes them targeted upgrades, not base-wide upgrades, so save them for workers you actually plan to keep.

Starfruit raises a Pal’s rank without requiring the same duplicate-Pal condensation investment. That is especially useful once you are improving high-value workers or combat Pals and do not want to rebuild the same Pal line from scratch.

The shop also has limited and cosmetic stock, including Mysterious boxes that increase inventory size and helmets for transmog. For progression, though, Dog Coins are strongest when they become better workers or rank upgrades.
