    • Now go back to Settings » Developer options » and tick the USB debugging checkbox.
  4. Connect your OnePlus 5/5T to PC using a USB cable.
  5. Open the folder where you downloaded the Oreo update .zip file and then open command window inside the folder. For this, do a “Shift + Right click” on any empty white space inside the folder and select “Open command window here” from the context menu.
  6. Now issue the following command in the command window to reboot your device into recovery mode:
    adb reboot recovery

└ Check your phone’s screen, if it asks for “Allow USB debugging”, accept it by selecting OK/Yes.

  1. Once in recovery mode, do a factory reset.
  2. Select “Install from USB” option and then tap on OK. You’ll see “You are in sideload mode” displayed on the screen.
  3. Now issue the following command to finally begin installing the Oreo update on your OnePlus 5/5T:
    adb sideload oreo-update.zip

└ This will begin the Android 8.0 Oreo ROM installation.

If all the steps are followed properly, Android 8.0 Oreo ROM will be installed on your OnePlus 5/5T. However, we are saying this again, that the ROM is unstable right now and may bugs.issues not suitable for a daily driver.
