OnePlus 3 is being rumored to get the official Android 7.0 Nougat update within a couple of weeks. However, Android 7.0 isn’t the latest anymore, Google has already released Android 7.1.1 developer preview for the Nexus 5X, 6P and Pixel C.
For Android 7.1.1 to arrive on OnePlus 3 it’ll take a few months more because it’s a preview release at the moment and there’s no surety when Google will out the update for everyone. But if you can install a custom ROM, an unofficial build of CM14.1 is already available for the OnePlus 3.
CM14.1 is an Android 7.1 Nougat based AOSP ROM developed and maintained by CyanogenMod — the most popular custom ROM for Android devices.
This is an unofficial now an official release but is experimental and might not be suitable for every day usage. Check all details about the ROM below, along with downloads and installation instructions.
