Motorola hasn’t yet shared its Android 7.0 Nougat update plans, nor has it shared which of the company’s Moto devices will be getting the update and which will be left out. But thanks to the folks over at xda, we already have Android Nougat running on Moto X 2014 and Original Moto G via AOSP based custom ROMs.

The latest Moto device to join-in on the AOSP based Nougat custom ROMs is the Moto G 2015. Developer Alberto97 has released a beta build of Nougat for Moto G 2015 based on AOSP sources of Android 7.0.

Since it’s the first release of Android 7.0 Nougat ROM for Moto G 2015, there are bugs/issues with the ROM that might not suitable to be your daily driver. Take a look below:

Issues as of September 8th, 2016, updated builds of the ROM might have the below mentioned issues fixed.
  • Camcorder
  • HDR
  • Permissive SELinux [/ecko_toggle]

Grab the Android 7.0 Nougat ROM for Moto G 2015 from the download link below and simply install/flash it via TWRP recovery like you’d flash any other custom ROM on the device. Also, since this is an AOSP based ROM, you will have to flash/install a Nougat supported Gapps package separately via TWRP to get Google services like Play Store on your device.
