What to know
- The Intercepted Call triumph requires you to defeat 20 combatants with a Cabal Interceptor in the EDZ.
- Interceptors can commonly be found in Winding Cove, Firebase Hades, and The Gulch.
- If the EDZ is under a Disruption state, Interceptor spawns may be significantly reduced.
- Defeat the Cabal driver, take control of the vehicle, and use it to eliminate enemies for progress.
If you’re working through the Monument of Triumph objectives in Destiny 2, the Intercepted Call triumph is one of the simpler tasks once you know where to find a Cabal Interceptor. The biggest challenge is locating a working vehicle, as its spawn rate can vary depending on activity conditions in the EDZ.

Where to find Interceptor in the EDZ
The Cabal Interceptor is a hover vehicle used by Cabal forces throughout the EDZ. While its spawn location can vary, several areas consistently provide the best chances of finding one.
Winding Cove
Winding Cove is often the first location players should check. Cabal patrols occasionally appear in the area with Interceptors parked nearby or actively being driven by Cabal soldiers.

Firebase Hades
Firebase Hades is generally the most reliable location. Explore the roads and the small tunnel sections beneath the base, where Cabal Interceptors frequently patrol. You may encounter multiple vehicles during active Cabal presence.
The Gulch

If you cannot find an Interceptor in the previous locations, travel to The Gulch. Cabal forces sometimes deploy vehicles here, making it a useful backup location.
Why the Interceptor may not be spawning
Before searching extensively, check whether the EDZ is currently experiencing a Disruption event. This is usually indicated by a red icon appearing over public events on the map. During disruptions, Interceptor spawns may become much less common, making the triumph more difficult to complete.

If possible, return later or switch instances if you are unable to locate any vehicles.
How to complete the Intercepted Call triumph
Step #1
Open the Director and travel to the EDZ.

Step #2
Check Winding Cove, Firebase Hades, or The Gulch for Cabal activity and an available Interceptor.

Step #3
Locate the Cabal pilot operating the vehicle and eliminate them.

Step #4
Enter the Interceptor and take control of it before it is destroyed.

Step #5
Drive around nearby Cabal or Fallen enemy groups and use the vehicle’s weapons to defeat combatants.

Step #6
Continue earning eliminations until you reach the required total of 20 combatant defeats.

Fastest farming method
The quickest strategy is to stay near enemy spawn locations and incoming drop ships. New enemies frequently arrive in groups, allowing you to chain eliminations rapidly with the Interceptor’s powerful weaponry. Firebase Hades is particularly effective because of its dense Cabal presence and regular enemy activity.

Be aware that some Interceptors may already be damaged when you capture them. If your vehicle is close to destruction, search for another one rather than risking losing progress momentum.
Triumph rewards

| Reward Type | Details |
|---|---|
| Triumph Progress | Intercepted Call completed |
| Monument of Triumph Progress | Counts toward Monument objectives |
| Additional Rewards | Triumph score and completion credit |
The Intercepted Call triumph is primarily a vehicle-hunting challenge rather than a combat challenge. Once you secure a Cabal Interceptor, defeating 20 enemies takes only a few minutes. Focus on Firebase Hades first, keep an eye out for EDZ disruptions that affect vehicle spawns, and target large groups of enemies near drop ships for the fastest completion.
